A very well constructed cat flap which has been purchased to prevent pest strays from entering our property. It was purchased to replace an existing manual cat flap. Needless to say it slotted into the existing hole very well. There are a few points that should be considered when purchasing. On opening the packaging there is a warning about low power chips that may render the flap useless until an upgrade to the flap has been made. I did call the company but as of yet have had no response from them. Fortunately after installing the flap and trying both our cats, this turns out to be a mute point. But its still worth considering. Secondly there is a possibility that your cats chip may be positioned in such a way that the chip may not register. There is an option to purchase tags for cat collars but they don't appear to be available o. This site. Again not relevant for us but may be for others. Training mode sounds very impressive when in fact it is just removing a battery before the locking mechanism engages 😁 However second day of installation our cats are getting very used to using the flap and the stray that keeps trying to get in can no longer do so.
